Built by lifelong music lovers and industry professionals, Angel Oak was created for those who want to step away from the noise, reconnect with their craft, and make meaningful work.

Our Story
Angel Oak Music Group began with a simple act of generosity.
After hosting a small writers retreat in Bowling Green, KY — Mary Propes Reynolds saw an opportunity to support and invest in songwriters in a deeper way. That experience led to the formation of Angel Oak Publishing in 2019, with a mission to create real momentum for those pursuing a career in music.
What started as a single retreat has grown into a place where artists can gather, create, and move their work forward — built on a shared belief:
“A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.”
Accessibility
Located just 65 miles north of Nashville, Angel Oak offers the perfect balance of access and escape. Close enough to stay connected to the city’s creative energy, yet far enough removed to slow down, focus, and create without distraction.
